The place
A working city for the people who make things.
The Tech City is where Fɛlei’s programmes, fund and partners get a physical home: a business process outsourcing hub, innovation hubs and labs, coworking, education, health facilities, industrial space and homes, on land provided by the Government of Sierra Leone.
It is designed to be sustainable and inclusive: renewable energy, efficient water management and recycling from the start, and services for the community around it, not just the companies inside it.

Unveiled
President Julius Maada Bio unveils Fɛlei at the 2024 Sierra Leone Innovates Tech Summit. The African Development Bank grants $1.4 million towards the investment portfolio and a startup fund.

TIEAC endorsement
The Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advisory Council endorses Fɛlei as a system-level platform and pocket of excellence.

Ministers align
A high-level roundtable brings six ministries together and proposes a Ministerial Steering Committee to guide delivery.

The Orange Foundation and MoCTI break ground on the Orange Village: a digital learning facility and a medical centre inside the Tech City.
